This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Offer technical leadership after sales to assist strategic customers in the design and implementation of big data projects, covering everything from architectural design to data engineering and model deployment.
• Identify and spearhead new initiatives that enable customers to convert their data into actionable business insights, ensuring these initiatives align with their business objectives for ongoing success.
• Design production-level workloads, which include performance testing and optimizing end-to-end pipeline loads.
• Conduct tutorials and training sessions to encourage community engagement (including hackathons, conference presentations, etc.).
• Practical and technical proficiency with Apache Spark.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks through several large-scale projects.
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional certification.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing big data technologies, such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP.
• More than 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Data Engineer, encompassing query tuning, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging Spark and/or other big data solutions.
• Skilled in programming with Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience in designing and utilizing solutions on cloud infrastructure and services, like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with development tools for CI/CD, unit and integration testing, automation and orchestration, REST API, BI tools, and SQL interfaces (e.g., Jenkins).
• Excellent communication abilities and comfort in presenting to strategic stakeholders and leadership.
• Background in customer-facing roles such as pre-sales, post-sales, technical architecture guidance, or consulting.
• A strong passion for learning new technologies and ensuring customer success.
• Desired experience in Data Science/ML Engineering, including model selection, model lifecycle management, hyper-parameter tuning, model serving, deep learning, and using tools like MLFlow.
