This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia, +2 more countries.
β’ Take ownership of a significant product area from start to finish, encompassing users, architecture, metrics, economics, failure modes, and production behavior.
β’ Transform incomplete product visions into fully developed, production-ready offerings.
β’ Make product and technical choices regarding integrations, edge cases, onboarding, permissions, analytics, rollout, observability, billing, and supportability.
β’ Develop across frontend, backend, APIs, data, infrastructure, native clients, AI systems, and third-party platforms.
β’ Utilize AI agents for implementation, exploration, and testing while maintaining accountability for judgment and outcomes.
β’ Enhance context, tooling, evaluations, observability, and guardrails to promote safe autonomy.
β’ Analyze production behavior, investigate failures, and iterate based on data-driven insights.
β’ Minimize ambiguity, manage scope, and deliver valuable results to users.
β’ Aim to make the product area increasingly self-observing while decreasing repetitive manual operational tasks.
β’ Proven experience in owning significant user-facing products or product areas from beginning to end.
β’ A track record of transforming vague or incomplete concepts into production-ready systems.
β’ Strong product judgment and the ability to make decisions independently without constant specification or approval.
β’ Extensive technical judgment across system boundaries, with the capacity to dive deep when necessary.
β’ Solid foundation in modern software engineering principles and production debugging skills.
β’ Significant hands-on experience with AI coding agents as part of routine development workflows.
β’ Familiarity with tool calling, MCP, agents, evaluations, context, and permissions.
β’ Evidence of creating leverage through automation, tooling, observability, or systems that reduce repetitive manual tasks.
β’ Ability to quickly learn new and unfamiliar domains.
β’ Availability for at least a half-day overlap with Sydney time.
