This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take responsibility for the technical vision and architecture within the integration pod, outlining how Jasper interfaces with and ingests data from external platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot.
• Design data ingestion and integration systems that consider the unique constraints of each external service, including API rate limitations, authentication, and security issues.
• Create and refine the context primitives in the IQ layer that rely on external data, defining the additional engineering efforts required to support them.
• Collaborate with team members to tackle customer-specific integration and design challenges, converting unique requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Proactively grasp the team's business needs, develop a detailed action plan, and see it through to completion — serving as a model for accomplishing staff-level tasks.
• Assist the team in identifying the appropriate next projects and architectural objectives, and contribute to the organization-wide technical vision as necessary.
• Investigate and recommend actionable plans for architectural enhancements and upgrades, considering trade-offs and fostering alignment among stakeholders.
• A minimum of 8 years in software engineering, with a proven history of operating at a staff or principal level with significant scope and influence.
• Proven experience in leading significant technical projects to successful completion and maintaining involvement to understand and communicate their real-world implications and trade-offs.
• Extensive expertise in designing and constructing integration and data-ingestion systems that connect to various external systems with diverse constraints (API limits, authentication, security, and compliance).
• Strong foundational knowledge of distributed systems, with the capability to design for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• AI fluency — a practical understanding of essential AI concepts (LLMs, agents, copilots, tokens, credits, context windows, RAG, data governance, etc.), applied in the context of developing and architecting AI-enhanced engineering systems.
• A proactive and ownership-focused approach: you recognize business needs, formulate a concrete plan, and execute it — all while elevating the standards for those around you.
• Excellent technical judgment and communication abilities, with the capacity to align teams and stakeholders on architectural direction.
• Familiarity with the systems and tools utilized by marketers (e.g., CRMs and marketing platforms like Salesforce and HubSpot) — although this can also be learned on the job.
• Experience in establishing the data foundations that support LLM-based or AI-driven product experiences.
• Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage starting on day one for employees and their families.
• 401(k) plan with up to 2% company matching.
• Participation in equity grant programs.
• Flexible PTO along with a FlexExperience budget ($900 annually) to enhance your time away from work.
• FlexWellness program ($1,800 annually) to support your personal health objectives.
• Generous budget for home office setup.
• $1,500 annual stipend for learning and development.
• 16 weeks of paid parental leave.
