Staff Software Engineer, iOS – Subscription Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Drive growth initiatives and A/B testing for upselling opportunities, premium paywalls, and promotional campaigns.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of Premium subscriptions from acquisition to retention.

• Examine subscriber behaviors, preferences, and trends to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

• Innovate and improve Premium support within the iOS application.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and prioritize challenges in the iOS ecosystem.

• Foster strong relationships with Android, Web, Backend, and Infrastructure teams.

• Research and deploy high-quality technical solutions that align with business objectives and a growing user base.

• Provide technical guidance on design, testing, security, and deployment best practices.

• Mentor team members to enhance overall team performance.

• Make swift decisions balancing speed and stability on high-visibility experimentation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in iOS engineering.

• Actively contributed to and released iOS applications.

• Proficient in Objective-C and Swift.

• Expertise in iOS app development frameworks, including UIKit and Foundation.

• Significant experience in writing unit tests and creating testable code.

• Extensive background in refactoring architectural patterns.

• Experience in multithreaded programming.

• Familiarity with relational databases.

• Experience in automating the build and distribution processes of iOS applications.

• A pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

• Preferred experience with payment infrastructure or AppStore Connect.

• Familiarity with XP, pair programming, mob programming, or other highly collaborative methodologies is a plus.

• Preferred experience with TDD, BDD, or similar practices that focus on self-verifying code.

• Experience in migrating large legacy codebases to modern standards is preferred.

• Experience transitioning from Objective-C to Swift is preferred.

• Preferred experience in contributing to Android, Web, or Backend applications.
