Staff Software Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Establish and steer the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for an internal developer product.

• Collect developer feedback, prioritize initiatives based on impact, and monitor adoption rates.

• Design, construct, and sustain integrations between open-source tools and the Internal Developer Platform using Go.

• Develop internal tools, command-line interfaces (CLIs), services, and automation for service scaffolding, environment provisioning, deployments, and ongoing operations.

• Guide and mentor a team of developers within the SRE division, determining technical direction, standards, and priorities.

• Enhance the observability and resilience of the platform and tools, improving incident response and visibility into production services.

• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and system design.

• Collaborate with product engineering and leadership to ensure alignment of platform initiatives with business priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of software engineering experience, including time spent at a Staff level or in a technical leadership position.

• Extensive hands-on experience in building production systems using Go.

• In-depth expertise in designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes.

• Strong background with Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native architecture.

• Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring developers through architectural guidance, code reviews, and setting technical direction.

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems, system design, and reliability.

• Ability to articulate complex technical decisions clearly and foster alignment across teams.

• Experience with Python, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and working in fintech or high-scale, regulated environments is advantageous.

• Equivalent qualifications in any of the aforementioned areas will also be considered.
