Staff Software Engineer – Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Establish and drive the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for an internal developer product.

• Collect feedback from developers, prioritize based on impact, and monitor adoption rates.

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between open-source tools and the Internal Developer Platform using Go.

• Create internal tools, command-line interfaces (CLIs), services, and automation for service scaffolding, environment provisioning, deployments, and ongoing operations.

• Lead and mentor a team of developers within Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

• Define technical direction, standards, and priorities for the developer platform.

• Enhance platform observability, resilience, incident response, and production visibility.

• Promote best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and system design.

• Collaborate with product engineering and leadership to align platform initiatives with business priorities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including time at a Staff level or in a technical leadership position.

• Strong hands-on experience in building production systems using Go.

• Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications on Kubernetes.

• Solid familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services and cloud-native architecture.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor developers through architectural guidance, code reviews, and establishing technical direction.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and reliability.

• Capability to articulate complex technical decisions clearly and foster alignment across teams.

• Experience with Python, infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform), and in fintech or high-scale regulated environments is a plus.

• Equivalent qualifications in any of the above areas will also be considered.
