Staff Software Engineer, Growth – Self Serve

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance dependable software for customers and shared platform functionalities.

• Analyze customer research and product metrics to pinpoint friction points throughout evaluation, trials, onboarding, initial value, purchasing, and growth.

• Lead intricate, multi-quarter projects from the technical roadmap and architecture stages through to delivery and user adoption.

• Coordinate tasks across teams and utilize metrics such as conversion, activation, time-to-value, retention, and expansion to evaluate impact.

• Empower engineers by granting them ownership of significant tasks and guiding them through scope, technical decisions, and teamwork.

• Direct the technical strategy for key Growth product and platform areas.

• Balance trade-offs between customer satisfaction, delivery speed, reliability, and long-term adaptability.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, Sales, and engineering teams.

• Clarify decisions and dependencies, resolve conflicts, and articulate technical strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven Staff-level technical leadership that transforms vague objectives into delivered, adopted outcomes across various teams.

• Strong product discernment and experience in developing customer-facing SaaS products, particularly in growth, onboarding, activation, or self-service processes.

• Ability to leverage customer insights and quantitative data to evaluate product results and inform iterative improvements.

• Capability to mentor fellow engineers through ownership, coaching, and constructive feedback.

• Comfort in navigating ambiguity, acquiring knowledge in new domains, and making headway with a proactive approach.

• Enthusiasm for understanding security and compliance, though prior experience is not necessary.

• Utilizes AI in daily tasks to enhance skills and improve outcomes.

• Experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
