Staff Software Engineer – Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design and develop intricate workflows that span dashboards, traces, logs, metrics, alerts, and infrastructure monitoring.

• Take full responsibility for significant frontend features and systems from initial problem identification to production deployment.

• Simplify complex observability concepts into user-friendly and intuitive experiences.

• Optimize performance through the use of virtualization, progressive loading, intelligent caching, and selective rendering techniques.

• Analyze and enhance sluggish interactions, extensive visualizations, and data-intensive views.

• Contribute to the frontend architecture, design system, and engineering best practices.

• Collaborate with design, product teams, founders, and backend engineers.

• Engage with users to implement improvements that enable engineers to resolve incidents more swiftly.

• Assist fellow engineers in making informed frontend and product choices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in building production-ready applications using React and TypeScript.

• A comprehensive understanding of systems and user journeys that goes beyond individual screens.

• Proven experience with complex, data-rich, or highly interactive applications.

• Deep understanding of React rendering behavior and the capability to identify performance bottlenecks.

• Familiarity with browser profiling and debugging tools.

• Competence in balancing trade-offs between performance, maintainability, and delivery timelines.

• Ability to take initiative and advance work independently without detailed guidance.

• Strong communication skills and effective collaboration across engineering, design, and product teams.

• Experience with observability is advantageous but not mandatory.

• A curious mindset with the ability to grasp complex technical domains.
