Staff Software Engineer – Firefox Enterprise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Enhance the usability and security of Firefox in extensive deployments by creating improved administration and monitoring tools.

• Boost Firefox's capabilities through enhanced integration with remote services.

• Evaluate the team's support work and the product roadmap, providing insightful recommendations regarding priorities.

• Collaborate with a geographically dispersed development team.

• Offer technical leadership, cultivate cross-team relationships, and assist the team in achieving its goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional experience in software development.

• Experience in building robust services in line with modern best practices.

• Solid understanding of software engineering principles: modularity, abstraction, data structures, and algorithms.

• Proficient in Rust and JavaScript.

• Demonstrated knowledge of database systems (SQL and/or non-relational databases).

• Excellent communication skills and effective participation in a distributed team environment.

• Pragmatic approach to advancing initiatives within specific timelines, including making trade-offs and implementing safeguards when introducing new features.

• A strong curiosity and eagerness to learn new skills.
