This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Oversee the migration from a monolithic legacy infrastructure to a contemporary Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) utilizing the Strangler Fig pattern, guaranteeing no downtime and complete data consistency.
• Develop and implement resilient idempotency strategies and distributed locking systems to ensure that all financial transactions are processed exactly once.
• Design and construct metering and rating systems that can handle high-cardinality usage data, accommodating intricate tiered and usage-based billing frameworks.
• Create and uphold scalable and secure integrations with essential ERP and payment platforms, such as NetSuite, Stripe, Zuora, and Chargebee.
• Set exceptional benchmarks for performance, monitoring, and alerting within our financial ecosystem, ensuring high availability and swift incident resolution.
• Serve as a mentor and technical advisor for our senior engineering team, leading comprehensive architectural assessments and producing Architectural Decision Records (ADRs) to guide our strategic roadmap.
• Over 10 years of experience in building and scaling dependable backend systems, particularly focusing on financial or high-transaction environments.
• A demonstrated history of effectively transitioning legacy monoliths to modern service-oriented architectures (experience with PHP refactoring is notably advantageous).
• Profound expertise in Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP, with practical knowledge in Kubernetes, Terraform, and serverless computing.
• Strong comprehension of global financial intricacies, encompassing multi-currency management, tax automation, and revenue recognition standards.
• Hands-on experience in applying PCI, SOC2, and GDPR regulations, with an emphasis on secure authentication (OAuth 2.0, JWT).
• Outstanding capability to convert complex business requirements from Finance and Operations into scalable and elegant technical designs.
