Staff Software Engineer – Events Logging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a diverse range of partner teams to identify their challenges, prototype potential solutions, and promote the adoption of logging products and tools.

• Take ownership of the technical strategy and roadmap for a significant aspect of the logging platform, ensuring alignment with wider organizational goals.

• Lead initiatives to develop new technical capabilities that push boundaries and foster product innovation.

• Develop and present design, product, and architectural documentation while also providing constructive feedback on the work of others.

• Convert prototypes into high-quality, scalable, and maintainable production code through an iterative development process.

• Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, particularly concerning logging and observability.

• Mentor and offer technical guidance to engineers, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and ongoing learning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 9 years of engineering experience in the industry.

• Preferred experience in building internal infrastructure, especially in event logging and observability.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills when working with cross-functional teams.

• Extensive knowledge in one or more backend/server programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, C++) and a proven history of architecting high-traffic backend systems.

• Willingness to explore areas beyond your usual comfort zone and a drive for personal development.

• Proficient in developing solutions for ambiguous challenges.

• Experience in mentoring and developing engineers within an organization while promoting best practices in software development.

• Proven ability to influence engineering strategy and shape technical priorities across a large organization.
