Staff Software Engineer – Device Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Address the most significant and intricate challenges faced by the team while acting as a technical leader for cross-functional projects.

• Conduct independent research and experimentation with limited guidelines, collaborating with UX and Product Managers to establish requirements.

• Break down complex issues into clear and manageable solutions.

• Offer technical influence and in-depth expertise to assist teams in developing highly available, reliable, and high-performing solutions.

• Collaborate with Principal Engineers and Architects to advance a unified strategy across teams.

• Work alongside engineering and product management teams on initiatives that benefit multiple groups.

• Guide individuals on sophisticated technical matters and aid in their career advancement.

• Balance technical leadership with business acumen when making technology-related decisions.

• Initiate and develop new technological projects and features, lead architectural discussions, define best practices, and enhance platform quality.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of experience in engineering and leading complex engineering initiatives.

• Proficiency in cloud technologies, microservices, and SaaS architecture.

• Solid expertise in Go, along with familiarity in Java, TypeScript, or other programming languages.

• Domain knowledge in managing Apple, Windows, and Android devices, as well as policy enforcement.

• Extensive understanding of device management architectures, including policy management, enrollment, and the Apple Push Notification service, across macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.

• Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes/containerization and CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

• Experience in distributed systems and databases.

• Ability to design and architect solutions encompassing services, front end, and databases.

• Strong leadership and collaboration skills for steering complex, multi-team projects from inception to completion.

• Capability to operate amidst ambiguity and drive clarity while delivering incremental value.

• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere.

• Solid grounding in software engineering design principles.

• Experience working with geographically diverse engineering teams in a remote-first setting.

• Proficient in spoken and written English.

• Must reside in and be authorized to work in India.
