Staff Software Engineer – Data Solutions, Measurement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

• Design, develop, scale, and manage backend systems capable of handling substantial data volumes.

• Engage in event-driven and API-centric integrations.

• Assist in migration initiatives aimed at achieving a more domain-oriented and scalable architecture.

• Construct and enhance software for workflows that demand high performance.

• Analyze technical challenges and collaborate with the team to devise solutions.

• Work closely with data science and engineering teams on technical strategies.

• Take part in a collaborative development approach where tasks are shared rather than managed individually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in backend software engineering, demonstrating strong technical expertise.

• We embrace technology diversity, so you're encouraged to transition your primary language (Python, Scala, C/C++, Haskell, Elixir, Go, Ruby, etc.) to Java, which is our primary language.

• Comprehensive understanding of algorithms (such as HashTables, Maps, etc.), data structures (including Anomaly Detection, Dynamic Routing, etc.), Big O notation, and architecture (event-driven architecture).

• Familiarity with heavy data processing tools and technologies, including Spark, Apache ecosystem tools, Delta Lake, Parquet, Kafka, and Avro.

• Proficiency in Python and/or PySpark.

• Experience in building or maintaining complex, real-time, high-volume systems characterized by high throughput and low latency.

• Familiarity with Docker, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

• Comfortable working in performance-sensitive, production-critical environments that require high throughput and low latency systems.
