Staff Software Engineer – Data Query

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and execute highly scalable, fault-tolerant backend systems capable of processing and managing petabytes of customer data.

• Enhance code efficiency to minimize latency and resource usage within a microservices architecture.

• Develop resilient code and validate its reliability through automated testing.

• Establish telemetry and logging mechanisms to assist the PM team in monitoring detailed cost-per-service metrics.

• Engage in on-call rotations and aid in diagnosing performance issues in production environments.

• Collaborate as part of a team, ensuring quick and effective responses to business demands.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.Tech, M.Tech, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.

• Over 8 years of professional experience with a demonstrated history of ownership.

• Proficient in object-oriented programming, with experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Ruby, or C++.

• Knowledge of the performance attributes of commonly utilized data structures (e.g., maps, lists, trees).

• Proven experience in building backend services designed to manage data at a large scale.

• Experience in leading projects and mentoring fellow engineers.

• Ability to work effectively with a remote team across multiple time zones.
