This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with clients who are new to design thinking, test-driven development (TDD), paired programming, continuous release deployment, backlog management, or who have yet to engage with the users of the software they provide.
• Educate clients on the rationale behind these practices, adapt to their preferences, and explore new tools that can help them appreciate the benefits of agile software development.
• Take responsibility for understanding how your client prefers to learn, how they like to receive feedback, and the common language they use to ensure effective communication.
• Continuously learn, teach, and adapt your approach to foster collaboration towards a new perspective on engineering.
• Work alongside the customer’s developers and engineers to guide them in creating and delivering user stories that offer business value, technical feasibility, and user-centered functionality.
• Produce functionality by developing operational software and guaranteeing a dependable software solution.
• Ensure consistent weekly development delivery while actively seeking feedback from actual users in real-time.
• Partner with military personnel and other developers to deliver immediate value.
• Be accountable for constructing and testing software solutions, ensuring the team builds upon our contributions both technically and in terms of the knowledge we impart through our practices.
• Maintain a balanced team perspective while developing software that meets user needs, business goals, and stakeholder visions, enabling the team to make informed engineering decisions swiftly based on validated assumptions.
• Advocate for AI-enhanced methods of working throughout your engagements, utilizing AI tools to speed up delivery, minimize cycle time, and achieve superior outcomes at scale.
• An active DoD security clearance is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of experience in Software Development across various programming languages.
• Excellent communication abilities and a keen interest in a pair-programming environment.
• Proficient in Test Driven Development (TDD) and agile methodologies.
• A strong desire to enhance your skills while engaging in intriguing work and tackling challenging issues.
• Familiarity with Java, Kotlin, Ruby, or Elixir.
• Experience with Spring Boot, React.JS, Vue, or Redux.
• Proficient in both frontend and backend development.
• Experience utilizing container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and processes including Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
• Proven experience in API Development.
• Comfortable operating your software within Linux environments.
• Strong understanding of algorithms, databases, design patterns, and their applications.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Flexible schedule in a fully distributed workforce.
