This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take full responsibility for the backend services and data pipelines that enable Grader scans from start to finish β including the incorporation of third-party presence signals (Google, Yelp, menus, LLM GEO signals) and delivering results consistently at scale.
β’ Strengthen the platform in preparation for expansion β minimizing latency, enhancing uptime, and developing the observability and alerting infrastructure necessary for the team to confidently scale Grader into new scoring dimensions.
β’ Create foundational platform elements β shared abstractions, operational runbooks, and architectural patterns that lessen toil and provide other engineers with a dependable base for development.
β’ Collaborate closely with the PLG product and AI Agents teams as Grader transforms into an expansive AI-driven tool for restaurant owners.
β’ Over 7 years of experience, with significant time spent managing backend services in a production environment.
β’ Proven experience in building and maintaining data pipelines, third-party integrations, and asynchronous processing systems on a large scale.
β’ A demonstrated history of enhancing system reliability β including observability, alerting, incident reduction, and fostering a culture of operational health within the team.
β’ Experience working at a product-driven startup or scale-up where you were responsible for systems from end to end.
β’ Strong ability to collaborate across functions β previous colleagues in product, design, and business would attest to your exceptional teamwork.
β’ High level of ownership and motivation, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset toward identifying and addressing problems.
