This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide scalable platform capabilities, encompassing infrastructure, tooling, and machine learning frameworks, in accordance with roadmap priorities.

• Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, which includes coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Utilize cloud-native architecture principles to create scalable, resilient, and agile systems.

• Perform system design reviews to ensure quality and architectural consistency.

• Develop AI-driven applications that incorporate machine learning components and automation features.

• Guide engineers and influence technical decisions and engineering best practices.

• Work closely with stakeholders to convert complex challenges into actionable technical requirements.

• Continuously enhance processes, tools, and products through data-informed decision-making and innovation.

• Create and sustain high-quality services and APIs that support programmatic ad delivery across web and app platforms.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or a related field, along with 4 years of experience in software engineering or a similar area; alternatively, 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related field.

• Demonstrated expertise in cloud-native architecture, including microservices, containers, and automation.

• Strong skills in Java and programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and C++.

• Experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design reviews, CI/CD deployment, testing, and maintenance.

• Ability to design APIs and create software prototypes.

• Proficient in mentoring engineers and influencing architectural choices.

• Capable of making data-driven decisions to establish metrics and enhance engineering processes.

• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Must be able to work in a drug-free environment and adhere to Walmart’s no-tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
