Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product, clinical, and cross-functional teams to transform vision into delivered products.

• Take ownership of architecture and technical direction from start to finish for new experiences aimed at members and care teams.

• Utilize comprehensive technical judgment across various languages, frameworks, and systems.

• Leverage modern engineering and AI-assisted tools to build context, assess trade-offs, and guide project delivery.

• Establish the quality standard through clean, well-tested, and scalable code.

• Lead and mentor engineers, clarify uncertainties, and ensure rapid delivery.

• Define the technical direction for the next 6–12 months and identify high-value tasks ahead of their inclusion in the roadmap.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in writing readable, tested, and efficient code.

• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and capability to navigate fluidly across the stack.

• Experience working with Ruby on Rails.

• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.

• Experience in designing scalable, maintainable, and secure APIs.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.

• Understanding of LLMs and best practices in GenAI.

• Demonstrated experience in using AI-assisted development workflows.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and deployment tools like Kubernetes and Docker.

• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and telemetry.

• Understanding of DevOps concepts and principles.

• Willingness to learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
