Staff Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vermont.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement digital solutions and systems.

• Architect and code software applications.

• Conduct system testing and debugging.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Contribute to the technical direction and innovation of digital engineering projects.

• Lead operational excellence through automation and reliability improvements.

• Drive root-cause resolution and enhance observability.

• Serve as the technical lead for complex production issues.

• Establish operational best practices.

• Ensure applications meet availability, compliance, audit, and supportability standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience in C/C++ and/or .NET.

• More than 3 years of experience with Linux/Windows environments and GitHub.

• Experience in developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining high-performance applications.

• Strong ability to diagnose and resolve issues with a focus on performance, stability, and reliability.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, memory management, and multithreading.

• Familiarity with healthcare claims processing, adjudication, or pricing systems.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience).

• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) is preferred.
