This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +3 more states.
• Oversee the architecture, design, and execution of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable enterprise software solutions.
• Define architecture principles, design patterns, reference architectures, engineering standards, and technical guidelines.
• Facilitate architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making sessions.
• Create, develop, and deploy cloud-native APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and real-time streaming solutions on public cloud platforms.
• Stay actively involved in software design, coding, code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Design, implement, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, security scanning, deployment, and release management.
• Identify high-impact AI use cases and convert them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop, build, and deploy enterprise-grade Agentic AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Assist in model evaluation, prompt evaluation, response quality assessment, guardrails, responsible AI practices, and AI governance.
• Integrate LLMs, AI/ML models, vector stores, orchestration frameworks, and cloud-native services into enterprise applications.
• Explain intricate technical concepts to engineering teams, architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology execution aligns with business objectives.
• Modernize Claims Adjudication technology while ensuring seamless integration with legacy IBMi/AS400 systems.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including substantial experience in designing and building enterprise-scale software systems.
• Strong architectural expertise in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and cloud-native platforms.
• Practical application development experience in Python, Java, React, and other open-source frameworks.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or implementing Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLM-based, or AI/ML-enabled applications.
• Knowledge of Enterprise RAG patterns, vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and AI application integration.
• Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with observability practices including logging, tracing, monitoring, reporting, and production troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in leading complex technical projects, setting technical direction, mentoring engineers, and driving execution across teams.
• Preferred: 10+ years of experience leading concurrent technical projects involving legacy IBMi/AS400 or similar and emerging technologies.
• Preferred: Knowledge of the health care industry.
• Preferred: Experience with RxClaim or other PBM adjudication systems.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agentic AI frameworks such as Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar.
• Preferred: Experience in leading enterprise AI transformation initiatives and establishing standards for Agentic AI and Generative AI adoption.
• Preferred: Experience in designing and implementing AI agents using tool calling, reasoning frameworks, workflow orchestration, multi-agent systems, and autonomous execution patterns.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
