Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Engage in a strategic cloud modernization and migration initiative, facilitating the advancement of the Client's Platform;

• Strategize and implement workload migrations from Azure to AWS across both production and non-production settings;

• Design, develop, and sustain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation;

• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, promoting automation, standardization, and efficiency in deployment processes;

• Configure, manage, and optimize AWS services including VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others;

• Establish secure deployment methodologies, incorporating Blue/Green Deployment, Canary Release, and rollback strategies;

• Guarantee platform observability via monitoring, metrics, centralized logging, distributed tracing, and alerts;

• Oversee performance, availability, and stability of environments during migration periods;

• Identify and address critical incidents, aiding in troubleshooting within production environments;

• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Development, and Architecture teams to ensure compatibility and continuity of workloads;

• Ensure adherence to best practices in security, compliance, and governance throughout the cloud transition;

• Contribute to the development of a modern, scalable, resilient, and data-centric architecture.


⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, SRE, or related fields;

• Proven experience in cloud migration projects, ideally involving Azure and AWS;

• In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda, RDS, and other platform components;

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation);

• Understanding of automation and the development of CI/CD pipelines;

• Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and troubleshooting in distributed environments;

• Familiarity with secure deployment and migration strategies, including Blue/Green Deployment, Canary Release, and Rollback;

• Experience in critical environments with a focus on availability, performance, and operational reliability;

• Knowledge of security, governance, and best practices in cloud architecture;

• Proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in agile settings;

• Experience in data platform modernization initiatives;

• Familiarity with Databricks and data engineering ecosystems;

• Experience with CDC (Change Data Capture) scenarios, incremental ingestion, and batch processing;

• Background in large-scale environments handling high data volumes with multiple integrations;

• Preferred: Certifications in AWS, Azure, or DevOps/Cloud Computing.
