This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Introduce new products to the market and transform the company’s service offerings into marketable solutions.
• Re-envision and restructure existing services and tools into scalable functionalities.
• Connect Machine Learning, Product, and Platform Engineering capabilities.
• Collaborate with operations engineering and customer success teams to set priorities for multiple clients.
• Address and resolve technical challenges raised by customers and internal teams.
• Lead or participate in post-mortems following contractual SLA breaches, identify underlying causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage the AI decision engine to enhance automation accuracy.
• Update customer workflows in response to changing requirements and confirm delivery timelines.
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and automation to enhance service-operation efficiency.
• Author and maintain runbooks and documentation for internal operations teams.
• Engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Report to a Staff Engineer.
• Proven expertise in Python development and production-level coding.
• Experience in launching products, ideally from inception to market or transforming a service into a product offering.
• Background in re-envisioning and restructuring systems and tools to ensure reliable scalability with business growth.
• Proficient use of AI coding agents and practical experience with tools such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Strong foundation in software engineering practices, standards, and culture.
• At least 12 months of ongoing hands-on software engineering experience.
• Product-centric software engineering experience with extensive technical knowledge.
• Ability to work across the technology stack and in the realms of machine learning, product, and platform engineering.
• Take full ownership of issues from inception to resolution.
• Previous experience in a startup or small-team environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes is advantageous.
• Experience with workflow orchestration systems like Temporal is beneficial.
• Capability to contribute to Data Engineering, MLOps, and/or Platform Engineering is a plus.
