Staff Security Engineer – Proactive Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Drive the planning, development, and implementation of Product Security initiatives.

• Establish and oversee strategic roadmaps for the designated security partner pod.

• Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and security teams.

• Provide advice and mentorship to fellow security engineers.

• Develop solutions to tackle intricate security challenges.

• Conduct routine application security assessments.

• Integrate and manage security tools within the CI/CD pipeline.

• Execute hands-on manual and automated code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience as a Software Engineering-oriented Product Security Engineer.

• Proven experience working with global teams managing a varied product portfolio.

• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and direction.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-analysis skills.

• In-depth knowledge of authorization and authentication frameworks.

• Practical experience in developing secure microservices.

• Proficient in identifying and resolving OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities.

• Familiarity with at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, Golang).

• Experience in mobile security application hardening is a significant advantage.

• Extensive technical expertise across multiple application and product security domains.
