Information Systems Security Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assisting with the Case Management Modernization (CMM) Program

• Drafting and updating documents necessary for Authority to Operate (ATO) throughout all ATO phases

• Collaborating with the client's IT security team, engineering team, and other relevant teams to collect information for ATO documentation

• Developing Visio diagrams as part of the documentation process

• Supporting and actively participating in the ATO assessment process

• Executing, monitoring, testing, and resolving hardware and software Information Assurance (IA) issues

• Gathering and analyzing data from Computer Network Defense (CND) tools

• Establishing and overseeing security across IT functional domains (data, systems, network, web)

• Leading the formulation and execution of security policies and procedures

• Delivering status reports concerning security issues

• Monitoring and tracking software viruses while assessing products and procedures to enhance productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of relevant experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Computer Engineering, or a related computer-based field

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is preferred

• Extensive experience in AWS Cloud Security (3+ years)

• Required previous ATO experience in an AWS environment for a large agency (4+ years)

• Strong comprehension of NIST Standards

• Prior involvement with the ATO process, FedRAMP, CIS, ISO 27001 (4+ years)

• Knowledgeable in networking, databases, systems, and/or web operations

• Experience in documenting security incidents and conducting security vulnerability assessments

• Familiarity with Agile teams and SAFe methodologies for testing and identifying system and network vulnerabilities.
