Staff Radar Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee radar systems engineering initiatives throughout the entire system lifecycle, which includes requirements formulation, architecture design, integration, verification, validation, and operational support.

• Create and sustain radar system software, performance models, analyses, and technical documentation.

• Assess radar performance in relation to mission goals and pinpoint areas for optimization and enhancement of capabilities.

• Assist in system design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and interactions with customers.

• Work in partnership with software, hardware, RF, signal processing, and operations teams to guarantee the effective integration and deployment of radar functionalities.

• Conduct trade studies and technical evaluations to facilitate engineering and programmatic decisions.

• Formulate test plans and assist in laboratory, field, and operational testing efforts.

• Investigate system anomalies and spearhead root-cause analyses along with corrective measures.

• Provide technical expertise, presentations, and engineering suggestions to government clients.

• Guide junior engineers and aid in the ongoing development of systems engineering best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Over 10 years of experience in radar systems engineering, sensor systems engineering, or similar defense and aerospace settings.

• Proven experience with radar system architecture, integration, testing, and performance evaluation.

• Strong comprehension of radar principles, RF systems, signal processing, and sensor performance characterization.

• Experience in formulating system requirements, interface documentation, and verification processes.

• Familiarity with various electronic protection strategies.

• Excellent analytical, communication, and technical leadership abilities.

• U.S. citizenship and the capability to secure and maintain a security clearance.
