Staff Product Manager, Telematics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Telematics data platform, ensuring a balance between enterprise-grade reliability and feature innovation.

• Collaborate closely with R&D leads to address core platform challenges and provide enterprise-grade reliability for essential data services.

• Spearhead the definition and launch of customer-facing Telematics APIs, webhooks, and data integrations tailored for the Enterprise segment.

• Ensure platform readiness for strategic initiatives, including global expansion.

• Work alongside AI teams to integrate telematics data as a fundamental aspect of Motive's AI differentiation, focusing on new analytics and automated workflows.

• Mentor and guide other Product Managers within the team to enhance the product function in this vital area.

• Take the lead in productizing telematics data by developing API-first products and comprehensive integrations for the largest Enterprise customers.

• Act as the central figure in product leadership, tackling intricate engineering challenges and fostering alignment across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of product management experience with a demonstrated history in a leadership role.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Proven experience in building and scaling complex data platforms, API-first products, IoT systems, or large distributed systems.

• Possess the ability to manage a platform as a product, balancing the demands of various internal stakeholders and external customer needs.

• Capability to drive alignment, influence roadmaps, and foster consensus across multiple product, engineering, and GTM teams without direct authority.

• Proficient in analyzing data to assess platform health while also engaging with enterprise customers to comprehend their integration requirements.

• Excel in a fast-paced environment and be adept at navigating ambiguity and complexity.
