Staff Product Manager, Native App

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of innovative financial tools at NerdWallet by establishing and refining a long-term vision that enhances how users derive value through account connections, data analysis, and timely recommendations to foster positive financial outcomes.

• Transform ambiguous concepts into impactful products. Identify significant opportunities, translate them into concrete product strategies, and lead teams from the discovery phase through to launch and subsequent iterations.

• Achieve meaningful results for customers and the business. Utilize data, experimentation, and customer feedback to enhance activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value, all while maintaining a strong emphasis on trust.

• Construct and expand dependable financial systems. Collaborate with engineering, compliance, risk, and operations teams to create secure, scalable, and compliant account functionalities.

• Foster cross-team and partner collaboration. Work closely with internal stakeholders and external financial partners to navigate trade-offs between speed, reliability, and risk.

• Elevate product thinking and execution standards. Mentor and influence product managers and cross-functional partners, guiding teams to make informed decisions and achieve higher-quality outcomes.

• Leverage AI to enhance smarter, more personalized user experiences. Thoughtfully apply AI to boost team efficiency at scale and improve consumer personalization, recommendations, and decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives and driving them from concept to measurable impact.

• Proficiency in defining product vision and strategy, and linking it to execution through clear priorities and outcomes.

• Strong decision-making abilities in ambiguous or constraint-heavy environments, such as regulated industries or large-scale systems.

• Experience in building or contributing to financial products, platforms, or systems involving money movement, accounts, or related functionalities.

• Comfort in collaborating across disciplines, including engineering, design, data, and business teams.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to articulate complex ideas clearly and engage others.

• Analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to product decisions, encompassing experimentation and performance tracking.

• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, combined with resilience and adaptability.
