This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.
• Take ownership of and refine the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for platform services and their self-service capabilities, aligning long-term objectives with short-term planning to satisfy customer requirements and business goals.
• Propel product-led growth (PLG) by crafting self-service experiences that boost adoption, minimize friction, and promote organic usage across government agencies and their constituents.
• Weigh immediate client demands against the long-term evolution, scalability, and uniqueness of the platform when making prioritization and roadmap choices.
• Direct the strategy and roadmap for horizontal platform functionalities, including notification systems, identity verification, MFA, SSO, authorization, and reporting infrastructure.
• Advocate for AI-driven technologies by pinpointing opportunities to integrate intelligent features—such as predictive analytics, automated workflows, conversational interfaces, and smart suggestions—into the platform to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
• Assess, pilot, and scale AI/ML solutions across the platform, establishing best practices for responsible and effective AI integration within Neumo’s offerings.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to navigate and modernize both legacy and contemporary technology stacks, ensuring platform services are dependable, scalable, and extensible.
• Work together to resolve competing priorities and advance the platform.
• Define and articulate product requirements by drafting clear initiatives, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria; manage the backlog—including support issues and defects—in close collaboration with engineering, architecture, and UX during planning and delivery ceremonies.
• Serve as a product advocate, effectively communicating the platform’s value, progress, and future direction to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• Over 5 years of experience in product management with a concentration on platform, infrastructure, or developer/enablement products (B2B or B2G software experience is preferred).
• Solid technical foundation with a hands-on understanding of APIs, middleware, microservices, SQL databases, authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), and cloud-based architectures.
• Proven track record in implementing product-led growth (PLG) strategies and enhancing platform capabilities within a software organization.
• Experience with both legacy and modern technology stacks, including migration, modernization, and integration projects.
• Demonstrated capability in building business cases, with an understanding of cost and pricing structures being an advantage.
• Proficiency in utilizing AI-powered productivity and analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Rovo, or similar) to aid research, documentation, and daily product operations is essential.
• Experience in AI/ML product development—including model evaluation, defining AI-driven features, and launching intelligent capabilities—is highly desirable.
• Background in tax administration, government services, or state and local government is highly preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex technical information in a clear and accurate manner.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.
