• Take ownership of how NetBox Core is integrated into commercial products by collaborating with NBC, NBE, and CS teams to ensure that releases are effectively planned, communicated, and delivered, treating internal teams as valued customers.
• Manage the NetBox open-source community presence, which includes triaging GitHub issues, engaging with contributors, communicating releases, and setting expectations for a global audience of practitioners.
• Lead the roadmap for data model evolution and the NetBox API surface, making informed decisions regarding backward compatibility, extensibility, and understanding the downstream impacts of breaking changes across integrations, automations, and customer extensions.
• Oversee products and features from strategy through General Availability (GA) and iteration, translating feedback from enterprise customers into actionable, shippable work.
• Interact directly with customers and prospects to comprehend how they extend and depend on NetBox Core, translating those requirements into sustainable product decisions.

• 7-10+ years of experience in product management within B2B software, including at least 3+ years managing infrastructure, developer tools, or other highly technical products.
• Proven track record of facilitating process or cultural transformation within engineering teams.
• Proficient in navigating a codebase; able to review pull requests, engage meaningfully with technical architecture documents, and hold discussions among engineers.
• Strong instincts regarding APIs, with a solid understanding of REST and GraphQL design, versioning trade-offs, backward compatibility, and what constitutes a developer-friendly API surface.
• Systems thinking at the data layer; aware that schema decisions represent contracts and able to think critically about how model changes affect integrations, automations, and customer extensions built on top.
• Demonstrated experience with open-source products or communities; knowledgeable about contributor dynamics, large-scale issue triage, and the trust relationships that distinguish effective OSS product management from ineffective.
• Strong ability to influence cross-functionally, driving alignment among engineering, CS, design, and GTM teams without relying on positional authority, while confidently standing your ground when necessary.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous situations and capable of establishing structure where none currently exists.
