This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with engineering. Work alongside a top-tier, globally distributed development team and the community to simplify complex challenges into manageable, shippable tasks and facilitate sprint planning.

• Take ownership of the “why.” Clearly articulate the rationale behind our projects, supported by thorough, data-driven analysis, and ensure that engineers, customers, and leadership are aligned once the advantages are evident.

• Promote and gather insights. When it's time to present, create engaging demos and proofs of concept, and advocate for Kasten with customers, partners, and at analyst and community events — then gather feedback and iterate.

• Connect with customers and the field. Collaborate directly with customers and sales teams to understand real-world applications, spot growth opportunities, and consistently refine the roadmap.

• Launch and scale initiatives. Define, prioritize, and implement end-to-end product development — including new projects for Kubernetes data protection and modern virtualization environments.

• Measure what counts. Establish and monitor success metrics for your product areas, using them to guide future development.

• Enhance the ecosystem. Foster closer integration with alliance and ecosystem partners to deliver customer value more rapidly.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive Kubernetes and cloud-native knowledge. Practical experience with Kubernetes and the broader cloud-native ecosystem (e.g., Red Hat OpenShift, AWS, Azure, GCP) — comfortable configuring and managing your own cloud environments.

• A genuine passion for technology and building. A hands-on innovator who experiments, breaks, and learns, and who can develop and present demos that showcase product capabilities.

• Relevant professional background. Previous experience in sales engineering and product management; technical roles such as field/partner solutions architecture, DevOps, or technical marketing engineering are highly advantageous.

• First-principles problem-solving skills. Ability to decompose complex issues into simpler components, with a data-focused mindset that builds convictions through detailed analysis.

• Influence without authority. Strong communication abilities to engage engineers, enterprise customers, and senior leadership — and to persuade after you’ve established the merits.

• High agency in dynamic environments. A proactive self-starter who can navigate uncharted territories, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excel in an agile, non-hierarchical atmosphere rather than a waterfall one.

• Team-oriented mindset. A collaborative individual who achieves success as a team, fosters alignment across the organization, and executes effectively.

• Proven track record of delivering. Demonstrated experience successfully launching new products and capabilities to the market.

• Openness to travel. Willingness to travel for customer meetings, partner engagements, and conferences.

🏝️ Benefits

• Unlimited paid time off, 12 paid holidays including 4 global VeeaMe Days for self-care, and 24 paid volunteer hours annually through Veeam Cares.

• Paid parental leave: 8 weeks for all parents, 16 weeks for birthing parents.

• Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting on your first day.

• Mental health support, therapy sessions, and digital wellness tools via our Employee Assistance Program.

• 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.

• Fertility, adoption, and surrogacy support through Maven, plus paid volunteer time.

• AirVet: 24/7 virtual veterinary care at no cost.

• Legal services, identity protection, and supplemental health insurance options.

• Tax-advantaged spending accounts for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting.

• Opportunities for professional development through on-demand libraries (LinkedIn Learning, O’Reilly), mentoring, workshops, and learning events like our annual Global Day of Learning.
