Staff Product Engineer, Salesforce, Certification

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the architecture, scalability, and reliability of the certification platform.

• Ensure the quality and technical execution of the certification product experience.

• Integrate both engineering and user perspectives into future platform developments.

• Manage the current instance and ongoing remediation efforts.

• Collaborate directly with merchants and advertisers utilizing the portal.

• Define project scope, establish priorities, and convert business requirements into effective technical designs.

• Collaborate with certification strategy leaders to shape the direction of certification.

• Establish and uphold Salesforce engineering governance standards.

• Set architectural guidelines for when to address challenges declaratively and programmatically.

• Lead modernization initiatives where they justify their cost.

• Proactively identify and resolve scaling limitations.

• Ensure security and reliability for an externally facing portal.

• Design and manage integrations between the certification platform and the wider CRM ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering.

• Extensive, hands-on expertise with Salesforce in both configuration and coding.

• Experience in building and managing Experience Cloud (previously Community) sites for external users.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce platform limitations and scaling strategies.

• Proficiency in source-driven development and release management.

• Skilled in integration design utilizing REST and SOAP APIs.

• Proven ability to navigate and improve an unfamiliar or poorly maintained organization.

• Possess a product-oriented mindset.

• Experience collaborating with users and business stakeholders directly.

• Capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Demonstrated capacity to influence others without direct authority.

• Familiarity with the current trajectory of the Salesforce platform.

• Relevant Salesforce certifications are advantageous.
