This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Independently lead the design across extensive and intricate projects: taking ownership of the work from initial discovery and framing through to execution and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to develop roadmaps and objectives from the user's viewpoint, linking work to broader product and business outcomes.
• Establish how products and experiences interconnect and function collectively within your domain, ensuring consistency across surfaces, users, and use cases.
• Leverage data and research to inform decisions: set success metrics, collaborate with Research and Analytics to validate initiatives, and share insights across the team.
• Enhance the quality of work by establishing high standards for your area, documenting and sharing new patterns, and contributing to the design system.
• Mentor fellow designers by providing regular, constructive feedback, elevating the overall quality of the team's output.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with cross-functional partners, guiding them through effective storytelling and well-crafted artifacts.
• Thoughtfully incorporate AI into your design workflow, understanding when it enhances quality and when it does not, while sharing effective strategies with your team.
• Over 6 years of experience as a product designer, UX designer, or in a related role, with a strong foundation in visual and interaction design.
• Proven ability to independently manage large, multifaceted projects from problem framing to delivery, with clear accountability for design quality and business results.
• Experience in shaping team focus, not just aesthetics: guiding teams from simply shipping tickets to addressing clearly defined problems with measurable outcomes.
• Comprehensive understanding of the design process, capable of balancing speed and quality according to scope and impact.
• Exceptional storytelling and communication abilities: capable of customizing your message for different audiences and presenting work with a coherent narrative.
• Experience in designing complex, multi-user experiences across various surfaces or touchpoints.
• Proficient in Figma and prototyping tools, including AI-first tools, and committed to staying updated with the latest technologies while sharing your expertise.
• Experience in developing and contributing to a comprehensive design system.
• A detailed portfolio demonstrating your approach to complex, multi-stakeholder challenges and the resulting business and customer impacts of your efforts.
• Strong interpersonal skills that complement your design expertise: thoughtful about team dynamics.
• A sharp intellect, a compassionate demeanor, and a great sense of humor.
• Willingness to travel up to 5 days per quarter for Together Weeks, team meetings, and other events, as needed.
