Staff Product Designer – Shopping Experiences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Integrate within Core Shopping initiatives, including browse, search, item details, cart, and checkout processes.

• Serve as a liaison between product teams and the design language system.

• Collaborate with product designers to investigate and develop innovative interaction patterns.

• Advance the design language through product development efforts.

• Define and enhance UI components, layouts, and patterns with a high level of craftsmanship.

• Establish a high standard for visual quality and interaction design.

• Promote cohesion, continuity, and consistency across end-to-end user journeys.

• Propel the team forward with reusable flows, templates, and prototypes.

• Lead high-impact initiatives from conception to completion when necessary.

• Introduce and refine new working methodologies across design, product, and engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience designing consumer-oriented digital products for both web and mobile platforms.

• Proficient in managing complex, multi-step transactional journeys with a system-level perspective.

• Extensive experience in systems thinking, particularly in relation to design language systems.

• Outstanding visual design skills and UI craftsmanship.

• Background in an agency or client-facing setting.

• Strong perspective on visual systems and interaction patterns.

• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and influence within multi-team environments.

• Comfortable working within product teams while ensuring accountability to the overall system integrity.

• Excellent communication and storytelling abilities.

• Proficient in Figma and Google Slides.

• Basic knowledge of emerging AI tools.
