This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take full ownership of the design process for essential point-of-sale experiences — from defining problems to delivering polished, shipped products — while ensuring accountability for their quality and outcomes.

• Base decisions on evidence: conduct your own research and testing with real merchants, ensuring that enhancements are grounded in actual user behavior rather than assumptions.
• Adopt a systems-thinking approach: enhance consistency across the broader point-of-sale portfolio, contributing patterns and improvements back to our collective design system.
• Amplify the team's capabilities: mentor fellow designers, elevate standards through constructive critique, and offer perspectives that enhance the work around you.
• Leverage AI in your design process — utilizing modern tools to explore, prototype, and validate more rapidly, while modeling innovative workflows for the team.
• Over 8 years of product design experience with product-focused tech companies, demonstrating measurable impact on delivered products.
• A portfolio that showcases strong design fundamentals, refined UI craftsmanship, and the ability to simplify complex workflows.
• Experience designing for established, large-scale products — with the discernment to determine when to simplify, modernize, or maintain existing designs.
• A history of collaborating with engineering to manage technical constraints while still delivering high-quality work.
• Proficiency in prototyping and research techniques to validate decisions and shape product direction.
• Regular use of AI tools in your design workflow, along with a curiosity about their evolving impact on the profession.
• Excellent communication abilities — capable of fostering alignment with cross-functional, global partners.
• Proficiency in English as a working language is essential for this role.
