Staff Product Designer – Growth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Navigate uncertainty by transforming broad business challenges into clear design strategies, phased plans, and actionable scopes within the Growth portfolio.

• Lead comprehensive growth initiatives not merely as a single-feature owner, but as a designer influencing the wider engagement ecosystem.

• Create high-visibility experiences across both Reddit-owned and partner platforms, ensuring Reddit is represented with clarity, quality, and strategic intent.

• Utilize coding tools such as Cursor or similar environments to develop high-fidelity, functional prototypes that feel authentic, use real data, and assist in mitigating risks associated with complex concepts prior to launch.

• Serve as a strategic ally to Product, Engineering, and Design leadership, aiding in prioritization and linking rapid experimentation to long-term product vision.

• Confidently present various design options to senior and executive leadership, utilizing data-driven insights, strong product judgment, and design intuition to back your recommendations.

• Uphold a high standard for visual and interaction design while elevating the overall organization through systems thinking, reusable patterns, and new components that are scalable for Growth and the entire Reddit platform.

• Simplify complex data, user behaviors, and experimental outcomes into engaging narratives that instill confidence in executive stakeholders and generate momentum around strategic product investments.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of product design experience, preferably in growth, platform, or high-scale consumer technology settings.

• Demonstrated ability to function at a Staff level, creating impact beyond a single team or feature area and influencing product direction across a wider portfolio.

• Expertise in prototyping through code with tools like Cursor, along with a conviction that the best way to validate an idea is to build it.

• A robust portfolio showcasing mastery of the craft, systems thinking, and measurable contributions to acquisition, conversion, retention, or other essential growth metrics.

• Comfort in an environment characterized by rapid iteration, A/B testing, and adapting based on performance analytics.

• Outstanding storytelling, writing, and presentation capabilities, with the talent to distill complex concepts into engaging narratives for senior and executive-level discussions.

• Strong judgment and leadership presence, with the capacity to navigate complexities, establish clarity, and influence cross-functional teams amidst ambiguity.
