Staff Product Designer – Financial Services Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design strategy and implementation for Coinbase One membership, CB1 Card, and the broader Loyalty ecosystem across various product and engineering teams.

• Cultivate a team of product designers through systematic coaching, career growth opportunities, and consistent design evaluations.

• Collaborate with senior Product and Engineering leaders to shape strategic roadmaps, ensure alignment, and advocate for design in leadership discussions.

• Spearhead strategic design initiatives focusing on membership evolution, retention strategies, and rewards experiences.

• Uphold high-quality standards across Loyalty platforms through design critiques, Design Review Reviews (DRRs), and workbench sessions.

• Represent Loyalty design in executive-level evaluations and cross-functional leadership meetings.

• Direct design strategy and team leadership for the Loyalty segment within Coinbase's Financial Services & Loyalty division.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in product design.

• Demonstrated success in leading design for subscription, loyalty, or membership products at scale, catering to over 1 million users.

• Experience collaborating with senior product and engineering executives to shape strategies, outline roadmaps, and guide prioritization efforts.

• Capability to establish a systems-level vision while delivering high-quality work on a weekly or biweekly basis.

• Proven experience managing individual-contributor designers through structured feedback processes, promotion cycles, and measurable career progression outcomes.

• Understanding of consumer fintech, payments, or credit card product design.

• Responsible application of generative AI with human oversight to produce business-ready results and enhance workflow, cost efficiency, and quality improvements.
