Staff Product Designer, Business Banking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

• Establishing the long-term design vision and spearheading comprehensive design projects in ambiguous areas within Business Banking.

• Producing impactful design outputs while overseeing and nurturing a small team of designers.

• Navigating trade-offs and steering strategic decisions with a strong point of view.

• Continually elevating the standards for design quality and product excellence at Monzo.

• Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to define and implement product strategies that translate into actionable plans.

• Proactively tackling systemic challenges, simplifying complexities, and fostering better conditions for teams to deliver meaningful results.

• Serving as a prominent advocate for Design.

• Coaching and enhancing the skills of designers across the discipline.

• You possess experience in managing designers and are eager to foster their growth while remaining engaged in your craft.

• You are a master of your field, with extensive expertise in a particular design discipline and strong foundational skills across all aspects of product design.

• You have a demonstrated history of delivering impactful design work that enhances customer experiences, influences company metrics, and meets business objectives.

• You will exhibit excellent visual, UI, and interaction design skills, along with the capability to navigate complex interaction design challenges.

• You have a thirst for continuous improvement in your craft and an eagerness to learn about new tools, methodologies, and technologies.

• You excel in uncertain environments, guiding teams to achieve results in complex, rapidly evolving situations while upholding a high standard of quality.

• You are a natural collaborator, adept at working cross-functionally to refine processes and deliver enhanced value for customers and the organization.

• You are passionate about developing and shaping the Design team, whether through recruitment, onboarding, or creating scalable resources that extend your impact across the organization.

• You are practical and proactive, consistently seeking opportunities to enhance Design’s impact at Monzo while balancing the necessity of completing tasks efficiently.
