Staff Product Designer

📋 Description

• Lead several prominent design projects that align with Dropbox’s strategic AI goals.

• Propel strategic efforts that merge design excellence, customer understanding, and innovation.

• Cultivate team culture and exemplify excellence in strategy, interaction and visual design, prototyping, and storytelling.

• Identify high-level opportunities that can enhance user experience and business results.

• Oversee strategic, design-led projects from initial concept to final delivery.

• Champion and guide the team towards innovative outcomes centered on customer needs.

• Collaborate with the broader design organization to uphold high standards of craftsmanship and usability.

• Streamline complex workflows and user experiences for a diverse range of customers.

• Contribute to shaping and executing a wider design strategy and influence product direction.

• Work in partnership with Design, Product, Engineering, and leadership to align design efforts with the company's objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-15+ years of experience in a senior Individual Contributor position, demonstrating a successful history of leading intricate design initiatives.

• A portfolio that highlights significant contributions to delivered customer experiences with quantifiable business and customer-metric results.

• Proven ability to collaborate across functions with engineering, product management, and leadership.

• Capability to influence design strategy and ensure effective execution.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong storytelling ability for presenting and advocating design decisions.

• Familiarity with utilizing generative AI for exploration and prototyping purposes.

• Preferred: proven experience leading design initiatives in remote or distributed teams across different time zones and organizational boundaries.

• Preferred: experience in driving company-wide initiatives to enhance design quality, such as conducting prototyping workshops or mentoring designers.
