Staff Product Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish the quality benchmarks for owned product surfaces and develop systems that maintain these standards as AI generates additional UI.

• Guide the strategic vision, quality, consistency, adoption, and governance of Aiwyn's design system.

• Prepare the design system for AI-assisted prototyping and development.

• Engage in product strategy and influence product vision in collaboration with product leads.

• Address system-level design challenges related to information architecture, shared components, and cross-surface consistency.

• Conduct both quantitative and qualitative research throughout the product domain.

• Mentor and develop designers; spearhead design initiatives, reviews, and process enhancements.

• Articulate design rationale and strategy to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

• Oversee design for intricate initiatives across product teams and serve as a design representative to product and engineering leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in designing intricate B2B SaaS products.

• Proven track record of operating beyond a single product team.

• Direct involvement in owning or significantly influencing a design system, encompassing component strategy, documentation, adoption, and governance.

• Familiarity with token-based design systems and component libraries that include Figma and Storybook.

• Experience at a design-centric, product-focused company known for leveraging design as a competitive advantage, or equivalent high-level craftsmanship.

• Capability to independently manage ambiguous, cross-team initiatives from problem definition to execution.

• Strong history of mentoring designers and shaping team practices or standards.

• Exceptional communication skills and experience in influencing product and engineering leadership.

• Background in accounting, financial services, or other operationally complex B2B sectors is preferred.

• Experience in leading or contributing to a design guild, community of practice, or similar cross-team design function is advantageous.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
