Staff Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in constructing a global, secure, scalable, and cost-efficient Cloud platform utilizing Kubernetes on AWS.

• Develop and enhance Kubernetes operators and other cloud-native automation tools within Kubernetes.

• Create products and tools that empower engineering teams to autonomously manage their cloud resources.

• Ensure security and compliance by delivering secure products and implementing DevSecOps integrations.

• Enhance observability, reliability, and cost awareness across the platform.

• Provide support to engineering teams in utilizing products and tools effectively.

• Establish and maintain a modern set of CI/CD tools and services.

• Ensure all Kubernetes clusters remain highly available and dependable.

• Contribute to product documentation, including user guides, configurations, operations, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Engage in defining standards, RFCs (Request for Comments), guidelines, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated technical proficiency in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, and software engineering.

• Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and its ecosystem; CNCF Kubernetes Certifications (e.g., CKA, CKS, or CKAD) are a plus.

• Solid understanding of observability systems.

• Experience with operator-managed Infrastructure as Code, preferably using cross-plane or Kubernetes Operators.

• Ability to develop software suitable for production environments.

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a proven track record in devising solutions for complex challenges.

• A collaborative and learning-oriented mindset.

• Profound expertise in the AWS ecosystem; AWS certifications will be viewed favorably.

• Exceptional communication skills in both English and Portuguese, in verbal and written forms.
