Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Manage the dispensing of prescriptions.

• Receive and evaluate physician prescription orders for correct dosage, possible drug interactions, and the appropriate route of administration.

• Oversee the work of Pharmacy Technicians.

• Liaise with physician offices, patients, and call center personnel.

• Offer patient counseling, education, and monitoring for prescription products while adhering to best pharmacy practices.

• Undertake special projects as required by business needs.

• Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree.

• Licensure: Must possess a pharmacist license from the Florida Board of Pharmacy.

• Required experience: 2-4 years in Retail, Mail, or Specialty Pharmacy.

• Multi-state licensure is preferred.

• Specific experience requirements:

• The Pharmacist must demonstrate proficiency in verifying all new and refill prescriptions.

• The Pharmacist must show the capability to identify, assess, and report adverse events.

• The Pharmacist must exhibit competence in reviewing patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of therapy.

• The Pharmacist is responsible for providing training, guidance, and direct supervision to pharmacy interns, technicians, and other team members while monitoring their performance.

• The Pharmacist must successfully complete mandatory Pharmacy training and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the material.
