This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in designated tasks and/or functions.
• Deliver an outstanding customer service experience daily in a phone-based setting.
• Input a substantial volume of data; processing prescription information with both speed and precision.
• Leverage comprehensive drug knowledge to adeptly receive prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers.
• Execute claim adjudication and auditing responsibilities, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks.
• Make outbound calls to patients as necessary.
• Navigate through current case queues to resolve patient care issues.
• Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals on behalf of patients.
• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to ensure successful onboarding of new patients to ExactCare.
• Keep patient records with a strong emphasis on detail and confidentiality.
• Accurately retrieve all prescription information and confirm through communication with doctors.
• Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients to establish a trusted point of contact.
• Make outbound calls to patients to create, maintain, or update their medication profiles.
• Provide backup support during periods of increased patient call volume.
• Assist patients effectively with their inquiries over the phone.
• Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA), with a requirement to maintain a current certificate.
• Must hold a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 2+ years of prior experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Comfortable in a phone-based work setting.
• Ability to work independently.
• Self-motivated and focused on achieving goals.
• Proficient in utilizing computer equipment, technology, and multiple software programs to process medication authorizations, clarifications, and/or transfers.
• Outstanding customer service skills; addressing the needs of doctors’ offices, pharmacists, and patients over the phone.
• Comprehensive drug knowledge.
• Familiarity with pharmacy billing practices.
• Understanding of proper procedures for handling prescriptions, clarifications, and transfers, including effective written and verbal communication.
• Strong skills in prioritization and organization.
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
