
Staff Motion Planning Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Create a diverse range of algorithms for autonomous driving planning, encompassing search-based methods, sampling-based methods, optimization-based methods, linear-temporal logic, and decision-making under uncertainty.
• Combine and assess various motion planning and prediction algorithms.
• Develop a robust and scalable codebase that facilitates swift exploration and assessment of different motion planning methodologies and algorithms.
• Connect with upstream perception and prediction components as well as downstream trajectory optimization and tracking & control elements.
• Engage in code reviews and mentoring sessions alongside senior team members.
• Foster a culture centered around product-focused engineering, research, and development.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's or PhD is preferred in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated impact and expertise in the robotics or autonomous vehicle sector.
• A minimum of 2 years of research experience in the fields of robotics or motion planning.
• At least 2 years of experience in C++ software development.
• Previous experience in guiding projects from problem formulation through to implementation and deployment.
