This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Lead the deployment, integration, and initiation of automation solutions for BMS/EPMS systems, ensuring smooth integration and monitoring with electrical and cooling infrastructures.
• Implement system standards, frameworks, and deployment patterns for controls, BMS, and EPMS rollouts across various projects and locations.
• Deploy and configure dashboards, HMIs, and operator workstations, ensuring site personnel have clear, functional visibility and control over intricate building and power systems.
• Supervise system integrators during standard deployments and point-to-point checks to guarantee strict adherence to design standards, acting as the controls escalation point to resolve complex automation integration, system inconsistencies, and network integration challenges.
• Collaborate with design engineers, contractors, and OEM partners in the field to configure, integrate, and troubleshoot networks using BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.
• Perform system testing, simulation, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to confirm functionality, sequencing, and data accuracy before operational handover.
• Ensure controls platforms accurately collect and transmit real-time and historical data, facilitating performance insight and analysis.
• Mentor and train other controls engineers on control system operations, troubleshooting best practices, and execution methodologies.
• Extensive professional experience in the physical deployment, integration, and initiation of PLC, SCADA, BMS, and EPMS platforms.
• Proven track record of successfully executing, deploying, and starting up automation systems in data centers or other high-availability environments.
• In-depth hands-on familiarity with configuring and troubleshooting control protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT, integrating various field devices into cohesive platforms.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, PLC/DDC logic, and operations of industrial automation equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to convert engineering designs into physical installations, managing deployment timelines, and navigating a fast-paced construction environment.
• A history of resolving complex automation issues, swiftly diagnosing integration problems, and ensuring systems function precisely as intended.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
