Staff Fullstack Engineer – Platform, App Core Usage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage backend services and APIs for billing, rate calculation, usage visibility, and marketplace workflows.

• Develop backend services mainly in Go while also contributing to TypeScript/React applications.

• Enhance the accuracy and dependability of billing and usage processes.

• Automate repetitive manual tasks and create sustainable operational workflows.

• Oversee Kubernetes workloads, scheduled tasks, cloud resources, and deployment configurations.

• Implement infrastructure as code and automated delivery pipelines.

• Diagnose production issues across application code, databases, and infrastructure.

• Strategize and carry out deployments, database alterations, and infrastructure migrations.

• Create integrations with cloud marketplaces and external business systems.

• Manage projects from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, rollout, and production support.

• Ensure auditability and traceability of system behavior.

• Collaborate with Product, Support, DealOps, GTM, infrastructure teams, and related AppCore squads.

• Provide technical guidance through design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring.

• Engage in the on-call rotation and enhance dashboards, alerts, runbooks, and recovery processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in designing, delivering, and managing production backend systems, with the expertise and judgment to lead complex tasks hands-on.

• Strong proficiency in building and operating production backend systems using Go.

• Professional experience in contributing to frontend applications with TypeScript and React, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with reasoning about distributed systems, including partial failures, retries, consistency, and service interactions.

• Experience with relational databases, including data modeling, schema migrations, query optimization, and safe production changes.

• Practical expertise in deploying and troubleshooting containerized services and jobs within Kubernetes.

• Experience managing cloud infrastructure via code and working with CI/CD pipelines, environment configurations, and controlled rollouts.

• Ability to investigate production issues using logs, metrics, and traces.

• Proven track record of delivering projects from start to finish.

• Experience working remotely with effective asynchronous communication across different time zones.

• Proficient in writing clean, well-tested software.

• Willingness to participate in on-call duties.

• Experience supporting peers through code reviews, mentorship, and technical discussions.
