Staff Frontend Software Engineer – React, Next.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Architect & Build: Spearhead the design and development of secure, scalable, and high-performance frontend solutions.

• Engineering Excellence: Advocate for high-quality standards in creating outstanding user interfaces that reach users globally.

• Testing Strategy: Enhance reliability through unit testing, integration testing, and a Shift-Left/TDD methodology.

• Collaborative Leadership: Engage in Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban), driving towards a shared team or company goal with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: Over 10 years of professional experience pertinent to senior engineering roles.

• Fundamentals: Proficient in Vanilla JavaScript, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the language's core principles beyond its frameworks.

• Modern Stacks: Capable of delivering robust applications utilizing React.js and Next.js.

• Testing Culture: Knowledge in implementing TDD and Shift-Left strategies to identify issues early and frequently.

• Mindset: Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and flourishing in a self-organized setting where you take charge of your career and influence.

• Core: Expert-level proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript, React.js, and Next.js.

• Quality: Comprehensive knowledge of Testing (Unit, Integration, TDD, Shift-Left).

• Cloud: Experience with Azure Cloud is deemed a significant advantage.

• Observability: Familiarity with or experience using New Relic for monitoring and performance enhancement is a plus.

• Methodology: Significant experience in Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
