Staff Frontend Software Engineer – AI Copilot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and implement frontend features from start to finish, covering technical design, execution, testing, release, and subsequent iterations.

• Provide technical guidance across various teams, establishing architectural direction and enhancing engineering quality and delivery methodologies.

• Develop refined, high-performance, and accessible user interfaces that showcase AI-driven functionalities for customer service representatives and administrators.

• Collaborate closely with Product Management and Design teams to transform product requirements into well-defined, exceptional user experiences.

• Work alongside ML Engineers and backend engineers to integrate AI-driven features smoothly into the frontend.

• Engage in technical design discussions and architectural decisions within your team, while gradually expanding your influence across other teams.

• Enhance the performance, dependability, and maintainability of the frontend systems you manage, proactively identifying and resolving technical debt.

• Support the adoption of our design system and component library, ensuring product consistency.

• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, collaborative coding, and knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, emphasizing frontend development.

• Proficient in TypeScript and React; familiarity with Ruby (Rails) is advantageous.

• Extensive experience with contemporary frontend architecture, including component-based design, state management, and creating responsive, accessible interfaces.

• Strong grasp of web fundamentals such as browser APIs, performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience with frontend testing methodologies, including unit and integration testing using Jest, React Testing Library, or similar tools.

• Proven history of owning features from inception to delivery in production with a high standard of quality.

• Capability to navigate uncertainty and adapt to changing priorities with ease.

• Excellent collaboration skills, enabling effective work with designers, backend engineers, and product managers.
