This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the consistency and quality of essential flag surfaces across various teams, ensuring shared interaction guidance and reviewing team implementations.
• Establish the product roadmap based on customer insights, personas, support feedback, sales data, and usage indicators.
• Manage LaunchPad, LaunchDarkly’s design system, encompassing components, tokens, patterns, adoption strategies, migrations, lint enforcement, and measurement of adoption.
• Monitor upstream library and platform capabilities and convert them into product enhancements.
• Develop shared interaction primitives for functionalities such as tables, filtering, sorting, comparison, and bulk changes, subsequently migrating the product onto these primitives.
• Prototype and execute interaction patterns for hybrid workflows involving both human and agent participation.
• Act as the primary defense for frontend performance on high-traffic enterprise surfaces.
• Work in close collaboration with Design, Product, Enterprise Feature Management, and Foundation Feature Management teams.
• Over 10 years of software engineering experience with a strong emphasis on frontend development.
• Proven experience managing a surface or system across multiple teams without direct oversight.
• Proficient in TypeScript and React.
• Capability to operate across the frontend/API interface; LaunchDarkly's backend utilizes Go.
• Experience in owning a widely adopted design system, including migration and enforcement processes.
• Strong product and UX insight with the ability to trace workflows comprehensively.
• Demonstrated ability to exert cross-team influence without formal authority.
• Keen judgment in prioritizing high-impact work.
• Familiarity with data-intensive enterprise product UIs, which includes large collections, filtering, permissions, environments, bulk operations, and performance at scale for customers.
• Practical experience using LLM tools, MCP, or agent frameworks, along with insights into agent-driven product design.
