Staff Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Conceive, create, and implement solutions while engaging in hands-on software development, collaborating closely with leads, designers, and product managers to deliver features and experiments for our global customer base.

• Primarily focus on web frontend development utilizing Typescript, while also being open to working with additional languages and environments as needed.

• Promote knowledge exchange and effectively advocate for engineering requirements to non-technical team members within the group.

• Demonstrate initiative and accountability in reaching objectives, enhancing processes, and refining solutions.

• Identify opportunities for collaboration across teams to generate new insights and improvements that contribute to our goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in a software development setting, preferably with a background in creating internal/external SDKs or APIs.

• Our frontend technology stack includes JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript, and MobX.

• Solid understanding of computer science and engineering principles, encompassing asynchronous programming, data structures, solution design, architecture, and design patterns.

• Familiarity with the browser rendering pipeline, event handling, WebWorkers, and WebGL/WebGPU is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Prior experience collaborating with team members and communicating effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of deconstructing large projects into manageable tasks and delivering results through others.

• A keen interest in performance debugging and benchmarking.
