Staff Forward Deployed Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical lead for the APAC region and contribute to its development.

• Collaborate closely with enterprise customers, guiding them from initial assessment to full production deployment.

• Take ownership of how Stacklok is implemented with each customer in the region.

• Influence the technical strategy across APAC, setting deployment standards and mentoring engineers.

• Address challenges to ensure AI initiatives successfully transition to production.

• Tailor forward-deployed work to align with the operational practices of local customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a senior or lead engineer in engagements with enterprise customers.

• Demonstrated technical leadership through providing direction, mentoring, and upholding high-quality engineering standards.

• Profound knowledge of Kubernetes, including cluster architecture, networking, storage, RBAC, and permission frameworks.

• Proven background in deploying applications into managed Kubernetes and the associated cloud infrastructure (IAM, networking, storage).

• Strong expertise in observability, encompassing metrics, logs, and traces.

• Practical experience in building or operating MCP servers or AI agent tools.

• An AI-first approach to problem-solving.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
